The Foundation for Exceptional Kids is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that was formed in 2008 to help support a variety of private pay support programs, like Camp Runamuk, to help make them more accessible to families.  In addition, it is our mission to provide trainings to families, friends, and community members on a variety of interventions and teaching techniques.  To get more information about this organization or to find out how you can help support local families with kids with special needs, please visit our website www.ForExceptionalKids.org.  It’s also not too late to sign up to attend Camp Runamuk – we still have a few suites in our cabins available!  www.camp-runamuk.weebly.com

Camp Runamuk is a camp for families who have children with special needs.  At Camp Runamuk, families get the total camp experience from bunk beds to campfires for 4 days & 3 nights, while they participate in family & individual activities geared for campers with special needs, their siblings and their parents.  At night, each family will turn-in to their own room in a suite-style log cabin, each room complete with its own bathroom and shower.
