Foot Love

Quinn's got this thing about feet. Autism can really be strange sometimes.  Every morning Quinn will wake up and undrape my feet, say "hi feet!" and but his ear on top of my big toe all the while saying, "nice feet, nice feet, nice feet, awwwwe. soft.."  The kid really gets a kick out of it.  If I'm up and about and he didn't get to do his "foot ritual" he will ask me to go back to bed.  :) I tell him no, I'm not going to lay down kiddo so you can put your ear on my big toe...

I wonder what it is about feet that he loves so much. He is starting to let me rub his feet more.  He's super pronated and has flat feet.  I'm going to need to get him some orthotics soon.  He had little braces as a kid to try and correct his flat feet. I don't think it did much.  But sometimes I look at him, and he looks like his feet may bother him.  That's why I'm glad he's letting me rub his feet more.

Quirky, my little guy.  He's so darn affectionate, though so I could care less.  He loves feet and the moon and water and wind and rainbows....  He's such a love.  Pure love.
